Last date 14-12-2017 in& amp ldquo walk-in interview at the venue& amp rdquo for interview on the appointed day One Hour before schedule time 09:30 AM Qualifications:Essential for Medical Candidates (i) A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council, Act, 1956. (Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions stipulated in section 13 (3) of the said Act, ) and (ii) a post graduate qualification e.g MD (Doctor of Medicine )/ MS (Master of Surgery) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline (iii) For Dentistry: A post graduate qualification i.e. Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective subject or allied discipline Essential for Non-Medical Candidates (i) A postgraduate qualification i.e. Masters Degree in the concerned subject or allied discipline and (ii) A Doctorate degree from a recognized University in the respective subject or allied discipline. Note: The respective subject or allied discipline should be as in the Table - I of Schedule I of the, Medical Council of India- & amp ldquo Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998& amp rdquo . Experience: (a) Five years teaching experience as Lecturer or Assistant Professor in a recognized medical college in the concerned specialty. Note 1: The transitory period of 4 years with effect from 24th July, 2009, the appointment or promotion to the post of Associate Professor can be made by the institutes in accordance with the Medical Council of India- & amp ldquo Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions Regulations, 1998& amp rdquo as prevailing before notification of Medical Council of India-& amp ldquo Minimum Qualifications for Teachers in Medical Institutions (Amendment) Regulations, 2009& amp rdquo . Note 2: The provision regarding 4 year transitory period (24th July 2009 to 23rd July 2013) as mentioned in the Note 1 above is no longer applicable. OR, (b) Four years teaching experience as Assistant Professor in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical college with minimum of two research publications in indexed or national journals provided that these research publications are published or accepted for publication in the Journals by the National Associations or Societies of the respective specialties as the First Author, and further provided that the requirement of two research publications for promotion to the post of Associate Professor should be fulfilled with two research publications must be published during the tenure of the Assistant Professor. Note 1: Qualifications with regard to experience are relaxable at the discretion of Selection Board in case of job-seekers otherwise well qualified. Note 2: The qualifications regarding experience are relaxable at the discretion of the Selection Board in case of job-seekers belonging to the Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes., and if at any stage of selection, the Selection Board is of the opinion that sufficient number of job-seekers from these communities possessing the requisite experience are not likely to be available to fill-up the vacancies reserved for them. Note 3: If a Diplomat of National Board (DNB) qualified job-seeker is working as Assistant Professor in a Medical Council of India recognized Medical college or Central institute, he would require one more year of teaching or research experience to be promoted as Associate Professor over and above the minimum time frame for Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Master of Surgery (MS) job-seeker. Note 4:The experience should be recognized by the Medical Council of India or the statutory body concerned with the system of medicine as valid teaching experience for teaching posts and certificate thereof or any other valid proof in support thereof should be submitted and a certificate to this effect is to be submitted.
