Job Description

Medical Field Officer The purpose of the post is to contribute to the implementation of the ICRC health /programmes in India under the supervision of Health Coordinator and with the support of the regional First Aid Adviser. Medical Field Officer will be responsible for maintaining contact with interlocutors at national and state level. Medical Field officer will also support the deputy health coordinator in organizing the Regional H.E.L.P. course. Your responsibilities and main tasks: •Planning of the yearly First Aid (FA), Pre-hospital and Hospital care (Emergency Room Trauma Course (ERTC) training activities by ensuring a good collaboration with the key stakeholder institutions specially Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) and health authorities. Develops program specific indicators and follow-up of the first aid activities. •To support the deputy health coordinator in organizing the Regional H.E.L.P. course. •Implement the defined health strategies and contributes to the plans of action. •Contributes to the internal communication of the institution and to the institutional memory by means of regular reporting documents, such as minutes of meetings, analytic/synthetic papers. •Support the ICRC surgeon in the organization of the ERTC course to develop and consolidate pool of local trainer. •Regular meetings with key interlocutors from IRCS and Ministry of Health authorities at National and State level along with the deputy healthcoordinator and Regional FA adviser.
